Smokecloud friend and very talented DJ/Producer, The Ivory Boy (also 1/2 of the duo known as The Peanuts) recently dropped an all VINYL mix for Local Kaffee out of Los Angeles, CA. We were delighted to see that the test press we sent him of B-Jam's "Verry Free" made the cut. Definitely one of the more interesting mixes we have heard in sometime, so definitely give it a listen and you may also want to check out some of the other mixes that Local Kaffee has to offer too. Hotel Sexus 02 seems like another dope offering.

Smokecloud records 2nd vinyl only release from B-Jam got a glowing review in the UK based magazine Mix Mag. Since we didn't send this to them we feel honored that they sought it out and felt it worthy of review. We'll definitely be sending them future releases in advance. Apologizes for not having a better scanned copy, but Mix Mag is fairly hard to find in the ATL nowadays so we had to settle for this phone pic of the magazine that a friend of B-Jam's provided.

Eddie C drops SCR-002 in London

Rather you're into House or Nudisco; and you have a taste for the deep stuff the name Eddie C should be a name you're very familiar with. Over the past 2-3 years this Canada native has had a slew of releases and remixes on some the best vinyl labels out there. Outside of being a gifted producer and talented DJ, Eddie is also a very cool & down to earth guy. Which makes him even more intriguing. With all that said, Smokecloud records feels very fortunate to have had Eddie drop B-Jam's "I Don't Want It" on the "Swindled By Time" ep (SCR-002) during his recent gig in London. Below is a link to a live mix Eddie did during his stay in London over at WarmHQ. You should also follow WarmHQ on Soundcloud as they have a gang of awesome DJ mixes posted up. Roll in about 16 minutes and you'll find Eddie.
